The easiest way to delete your EMBER account is from inside the app:
open Settings → Delete Account. This page is provided
so that you can also submit a deletion request from any browser, with
or without the app installed.
What gets deleted
When you request deletion, the following data is permanently removed from EMBER's backend within 30 days:
Every cook session you have run, including the recipe snapshot and any notes
All cook telemetry (recorded grill and probe temperatures)
Recipes you authored or customised (built-in recipes are not user data)
Your notification history and any product-analytics events tied to your account
Your Supabase Auth identity record
Locally on your device, signing out and uninstalling EMBER clears your
cached session, your stored Traeger refresh token (if you signed in to
Traeger from inside EMBER), and any in-progress cook state.
What is not stored or deleted by us
EMBER never stores your Traeger account password. It is submitted
directly from your device to Traeger's servers and never reaches our
backend. To delete your Traeger account itself, contact Traeger
Support directly.
Your sign-in provider (Google, Apple, or Facebook) controls its own
account record. Removing your EMBER account does not change your
account with that provider.
How to request deletion
Email [email protected]
from the email address associated with your sign-in provider, with the
subject "EMBER account deletion request".
Verification: we will reply from
[email protected] to confirm. To prevent abuse, we
only act on requests sent from the same email address that is on your
EMBER account. If you sign in via Apple's "Hide My Email" relay, please
mention that in your request so we can match the relay address.
Timeline
We acknowledge requests within 5 business days.
Account and associated data are deleted within 30 days of acknowledgement.
Some records may be retained for a short period where required by law (for example, billing records — currently not applicable as EMBER is free).
Stopgap note
EMBER is in closed beta. A fully self-service in-app deletion flow with
immediate effect is coming in a future release; in the meantime, the
"Delete Account" row in the app opens this same email request. Your
data is treated identically either way.
